Going to the Sun Road - Glacier National Park
Celebrations at Lake McDonald Lodge and other locations around the Park took place on June 27th in honor of the 75th anniversary of the completion of this amazing road. On July 2nd the clearing of snow was completed and the road opened to cross park traffic. Their upcoming performances include: "The Full Monty". "Pete n Keely" and Olympia Dukakis in "The Other Side of the Island"

Bear grass is a flowering perennial plant in the lily family. It can be found in many parts of North America, usually in the sub alpine zone. Bear grass is a familiar site in Glacier National Park, at the Whitefish Mountain Resort and in all the higher country in the area. This year is a multiple bloom year when many of the plants are blooming simultaneously so we are finding carpets of bear grass in our upland travels - it is a sight to behold.
